Simple things

Two weekends ago we took a trip to the Norfork national fish hatchery.  I wanted to see it and we thought it would be a great place for the boys to fish.  Uncle Scott, Aunt Staci, Brandt, and Keaton wanted to go to.  We all piled in the Yukon together and away we went.

It was so much fun...I don't know where to start.  I have a million pictures and couldn't get rid of any because I loved them all.

I'll start with how beautiful it was.  There was a long dock that ran along the creek. You can see in the pictures how green everything was.  There was a small waterfall and when you leaned in close you could feel small splashes of water hit your face.  When you looked down into the water you could see hundreds of colorful fish.  We could walk off the dock to the bank of the creek to stick our toes in the  when water when we got hot.  It was absolutely gorgeous.

Grady caught fish left and right.  Everytime we turned around one of the boys had a bite.  There was never a dull moment.  You could even peek down and pick out which fish you wanted to catch.  They had their eye on the biggest fish all day...and Keaton was the one to finally hook him.

Here is Grady with his first fish.  He loves to fish but is still not so sure about holding onto them.  Which is understandable since even Daniel had a hard time keeping a grasp on these guys.
Garon is too big for his britches now.  He loved this place and would probably live on the dock if we would let him.  He ran up and down the dock at least 100 times.  We definitely got our workout for the week.  He thought he was so cool and didn't want anyone to hold his hand of course.

Here is his little smirk...saying catch me if you can...
I wonder if all one year olds are the same? Garon doesn't walk anywhere, he runs! Scares me to death all the time.

 I love this picture.

This is the biggest catch of the day.  We were all rushing around trying to get out cameras and Keaton was trying to hang onto him for dear life.
This is one of my favorites.  Keaton was losing his grasp and getting slapped in the face by the fish.  So glad that I captured this picture...it makes me laugh out loud....literally.

It was so nice for everyone to get to go.  Not only do I like the company but Aunt Staci and Uncle Scott are a huge help with chasing Garon.  They both helped out and gave Dan and I breaks often.  Aunt Staci would take Garon down to the creek and let him throw rocks.  He loved it.

This trip just reminded me that it is the simple things in life.  Seeing how happy Grady was fishing with his dad makes me smile.  Grady doesn't realize it now but these are the times he will remember and be thankful for.  I feel really blessed to have these boys! All three of them!!
